The City of Karratha continues to work with the airlines that service Karratha Airport to reduce the cost of flights for residents and visitors.

Already this year Qantas Airways and Virgin Australia Airlines have offered a number of sales on flights to and from Karratha, including this week.

City of Karratha Mayor Peter Long said it was pleasing to see airlines responding to community demand for affordable flights and introducing more regular airfare sales.

“Council has been proactively working to facilitate the provision of intraregional, interstate and international services from Karratha Airport to improve the liveability of our community,” Cr Long said.

“The City also continues to advocate to the State Government for improved connectivity for travelers to experience our unique and under-rated tourism experiences.”

Cr Long encouraged residents to subscribe to Qantas’ discounted residents’ fares program, and to Qantas Airways and Virgin Australia Airlines mailing lists to receive alerts about current and upcoming airfare sales.
